A Holistic View of the Four Loves.

Updated: Oct 1

A Holistic View of the Four Loves report.

“It matters not who you love, where you love, why you love, when you love or how you love, it matters only that you love” – John Lennon

“Sometimes love means loving yourself until the right one comes along.” – Mark Anthony

The Four Loves

Eros: The love between a man and a woman.

Philia: The love between friends.

Storge: The love between parents and their children.

Agape: Self-love. The love for the arts and nature.

All forms of love are connected and have a place in our lives. We are incomplete if we deny one or exalt one over the other. We need Storge to form lasting attachments with our parents, which allows us to form a stable basis to develop Agape, which can be developed through a connection to the arts and nature. Once this is achieved, and our connection to the universe is secure, this will allow us to develop Philia, thereby forming relationships that can blossom into Eros once we attract the right person. Integrating all four loves into our being creates beautiful harmonies and energies that lift us higher and higher and create a safe environment for ourselves, our partners, and our children.

Brad’s holistic system: Storge→Agape→Philia→Eros→Repeat
